About the artist

Hey ! My name's Heather, but I'd rather go by Hez. I'm 22, nonbinary and I live in washington state. :) I've been heavily involved in art since childhood, thanks to my family and loved ones continued encouragement and advice. I mostly just do what feels right while creating, i like to keep it playful for the most part and not much of it is planned beforehand. Ideas strike me towards the end of the night, while dreaming, listening to songs, and when I'm deeply hurt or moved.  Though I have worked with quite a few mediums, I gravitate towards pencil drawings, small polymer clay works, and watercolors. I've been slowly working on attempting stop motion, 2d animation, 3d modeling, and my goal is to get involved in ceramics. 

When I'm not doing art things, I like to work in the garden, take care of my cats and snails, relax, look for cool rocks with family, watch dumb videos and study the world around me. I have a deep interest and appreciation for fungi/mycology, music, microorganisms, bugs, dreams, botany, and cooking. I can tend to be a bit socially inept, and shy away from the outside world and people when things get intense, but I'm friendly. Don't be afraid to reach out with any questions ! I'm always down to help out or answer any questions. maybe even collab or art trade !
